Nicaraguan Diplomat

Has anyone seen the news story about the Nicaraguan diplomat killed in New York this past week??? It so happens that he is somewhat related to my host family – the cousin of my sister-in-law. So it’s been interesting here. Constantly watching the news to find out if any additional information about the case has been discovered and lots of people mourning. From what I heard (and understood), his chauffeur found him dead on the floor of his apartment with a slit when he went to pick him up to go to the United Nations meeting that day. Two knives were also found beside him on the floor. They’re still unsure if it was a murder or a suicide. He was said to be depressed and losing weight prior to his death. One person claimed he had also hypothetically spoken of his own death a few weeks prior. They are currently investigating the case.
The funeral is this weekend I believe.
